Your first entry will be to briefly “discuss” and demonstrate your knowledge of WWII, in particular, the Holocaust (interestingly enough, ALL of you chose novels around this event), and human suffering in general.
We will be in the library on Thursday and Friday, where you will need to locate pictures and quotes to include in your blog. You must give credit to all photos used in your blog!
1. Your blog must answer the following questions in one way or another:
• What is hate? Define it in your own words. Give specific examples, if possible.
• What groups of people suffered the most discrimination during WWII/Holocaust?
• What groups of people undergo the most discrimination in the United States today?
2. Your blog must also include the following:
• A unique/creative title for your first entry!
• At least two famous quotations made about WWII or the Holocaust.
• At least 2 images (pictures, political cartoons, photos, etc).
****Because this is YOUR blog, feel free to share your own personal opinions and viewpoints on hatred, discrimination, and war and how it affects religion, families, personal relationships, economy, ages, genders, and cultural groups. If you can, try to make connections of hate, discrimination, and war to books, movies, music that you have heard or seen or can relate to! Make this as creative as you want, this is YOUR blog, YOUR writing, YOUR thinking!! Think of this blog as a mini-seminar, only you will be typing your responses to each other instead of speaking to the whole class. We will discuss what you write next week!

Kendra.... absolutely! I just posted the assignment for Blog #2 (this will be due next Tuesday 4/13) and Blog #3 (will be assigned this Friday).
